New Jersey School Boards Association: www.njsba.org
Established in 1914, the New Jersey School Boards Association is a federation of all of the states local boards of education. The 4,800 local board members who comprise our membership are the largest group of elected and appointed public officials in New Jersey. The Association provides in-service training and technical assistance to these members, all of whom serve without compensation.  In addition, the Association advocates the education, health and safety interests of New Jerseys public school students and school districts.

** GrantStation
This is worth joining when there is a $100 membership special offered via Tech Soup.  It is an interactive website that allows grant seekers to identify potential funding sources for their programs or projects, and mentors you through the grant seeking process. GrantStation provides access to a searchable database of grant makers who are actively accepting proposals from a variety of organizations, federal grant deadlines updated twice a week, and links to the funding agencies in your state. There is a cost for subscribing to GrantStation, however, there are several helpful fundraising articles and ideas on the site for free.
