The judging process was not an easy task. The number of applications clearly demonstrates that education foundations are doing exceptional and outstanding work all over this state, and we are eager and proud to share these stories.<\/p>\n<p>The judging panel was made up of the following individuals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Robin Callahan, Executive Director, National School Foundation Association<\/li>\n<li>Mary Chance, President, Consortium of Florida Education Foundations<\/li>\n<li>Trudy Doyle, Immediate Past President, NJEFP, Retired Executive County Superintendent<\/li>\n<li>Shawn Gillon, CPA,&nbsp;Withum&nbsp;Smith + Brown and NJEFP Treasurer<\/li>\n<li>Bill Hoffman, President\/CEO, Bill Hoffman &amp; Associates and National School Foundation Association Board Member<\/li>\n<li>Rita Nini, Manager Community Relations, Educational Testing Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Award&nbsp;Recipients are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Outstanding Education Foundation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Summit Educational Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This award is given to the New Jersey education foundation that has made a significant impact on its school district. This can be measured in terms of financial support, community outreach and involvement, district initiatives and\/or student impact.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/njefp.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/SEF_Overview.pdf\">Click here to learn more about why the Summit Educational Foundation<\/a><\/span> was selected for Outstanding Education Foundation award.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Outstanding Education Foundation Program&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Montclair Foundation for Educational Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Program: Life After High School: Surviving &amp; Thriving in the 21st Century<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This award is given to an outstanding program that is either funded or run by the education foundation in its district. The program must demonstrate significant impact on students.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/njefp.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/MFEE_Overview.pdf\">Click here to learn more about why the Montclair Foundation for Educational Excellence<\/a><\/span> was selected for the Outstanding Education Foundation program award.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Outstanding Achievement in Fundraising&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morris&nbsp;Educational Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Event Fundraiser: Morristown ONSTAGE<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This award is given for outstanding achievement in fundraising by an education foundation.&nbsp; The award is given for an event or campaign that has engaged the community at large and raised significant funds for the district.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/njefp.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/MEF_Overview.pdf\">Click here to learn more about why the Morris Educational Foundation<\/a><\/span> was selected for the Outstanding Achievement in Fundraising Award.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Outstanding Partner \u2013 Funder&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Freehold Borough Educational Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Funder:&nbsp;Mr. Barry Tobias, former CFO, Peter Jay Sharp Foundation<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This award is given to an outstanding education foundation funding partner.&nbsp;
