Membership Benefits

NJEFP members will receive the following benefits in 2016-17:

Membership is open to all local education foundations, school districts, or individuals/groups who are interested in starting or building a local education foundation in New Jersey.  Working together we can raise more money and build partnerships to support public education in New Jersey.

Networking, education, sharing best practices, and membership meetings – Share best practices and network with other local education foundation volunteers and staff at our membership meetings held 3-4 times a year. Up to 3 members of your foundation can attend our meetings FREE.

Consultation and technical assistance – Members receive consultation and technical assistance by phone or e-mail on a wide range of issues facing local education foundation including best practices, policies, fundraising, governance, and boards.

Membership in National School Foundation Association (NSFA) – As an affiliate of NJEFP, you are also a member of NSFA and receive all benefits of NSFA membership. Visit

Workshops and educational programs on fundraising, board management, marketing, best practices, and more – Training and education is provided at our membership meetings, annual conference, and special workshops.

Use NJEFP & NSFA member logo on website and publications – We encourage you to use both the NJEFP and NSFA logos on your website and publications. Placing a member logo on your website and materials tells the community that you are linked to a statewide and national effort.

Access to members-only section of NJEFP website – Members have a special link to resources including workshop and meeting handouts, as well as sample policies, bylaws, and more.

Member E-News and Event Announcements – Receive E-News and updates. Including the latest news in the K-12 education, new resources, workshops and training opportunities, and more.

Fiscal Sponsor –If you are a new foundation and awaiting 501(c)(3) status from the IRS, NJEFP may act as your fiscal sponsor if needed
